This article is very accurate. Every year, the Christmas season is becoming more and more popular. At our school this year, I am doing a theatrical reading of Charles Dickens, “A Christmas Carol”. The students will also be doing a talent show, decorated their classrooms, and providing the traditional apples as teacher’s gifts. I have had to nix the apples gift idea. I tell them that I could not possibly eat over 100 apples. The best gift they can give me is to study hard and get good grades on their exams. As China’s Christian community grows (there are more Christians than Communist party members), Christmas and the real meaning of the season, will continue to flourish. I am very excited to see a new church being built in our city and opened just before next Christmas. In a very short 5 to 10 years, Christmas in China will become as popular as any other Christmas tradition in the world.
